What this page does not claim

• The chance of rain and the amount of rain are two different figures from the forecast. Neither is calculated from the other, and this page never substitutes one for the other.
• Both rain figures cover the whole hour ending at the time shown, unlike the temperature and cloud figures elsewhere on this site, which describe that instant.
• "Chance of rain" means the probability of more than 0.1 mm falling in that hour. A high probability of a very small amount is still a high probability.
• Where a figure is marked not published, the forecast stream supplied nothing for that hour. It does not mean zero rain, and this page will not show it as zero.
• Nothing here is a rain gauge reading. These are model forecasts, and the confidence label beside each one says how much observation stands behind it.
• This compares one validated snapshot, not a climate record. Madeira Sun has not yet logged enough paired forecast and observation history to say which part of the island is sunnier over a week, a month or a season, so this page does not say it.
• Zone coordinates are still seed values that have not been checked against a terrain model. A zone can move between groups once they are verified.
• Every score here is model output, not a measurement. The confidence label beside each score states how much observation stands behind it.
• Porto Santo is a separate island. It is never counted in these comparisons and never offered as a drive.
